Padmasri Sri TV Narayana is No More

Padmasri Sri TV Narayana garu, aged 97 passed away today(11th January 2022) early morning 6.18am at Care Hospital, hyderabad. ( Sri Narayana is the father of well known surgeon, activist and Samajika Samarasatha President Dr Vamsha Tilak. )

Sri Narayana is familiar to people of both Telugu states with his long-standing important work and influenced many with his work in social field and education. The great patriot was equally active in spiritual field along with social work. He suffered imprisonment during Hyderabad Freedom struggle. He started his life as a humble school teacher and rose to become a member of Public Service Commission.

He was born on 26th July 1925, and belonged to backward classes. Former Minister Smt Sadalakshni was his wife. He did his BA in Mathematics from Nizam college, and completed his MA in English from Benares Hindu University. As a lifelong student, he completed his PhD from Karnataka University at the age of 71. He studied Vedas and Upanishads too. He established Bandhu Seva Mandali for the progress and development of Backward classes and worked hard for their upliftment.

Sri Narayana was awarded Padmasri by the President of India in 2016 for his outstanding services in various walks of life. Telugu University has presented him with Dharma Ratna award. AP govt has presented him the Dalit Ratna award. He was also an accomplished Veda Pandit.

Sri Narayana was a prolific writer and has published over 20 books. The following are a few of his books. Jeevana Vedam, Aarshaputra Sathakam, Bhavya Charitha Sathakam,
Atma Darsanam, Amara Vaksudha Sravanthi ( essays on Upanishads).

The news of the sad demise of Sri T.V. Narayana, frmr Member, APPSC and frmr President Seva Bharati, Hyderabad Kendra, comes as a shock to us at the Samvit Kendra.

Sri Narayana’s services to the cause of social harmony and national integration stretched over long decades and are invaluable. In the crucial years that lie before us, his blessings and gracious presence will be sorely missed.

The Samvit Kendra extends to Sri Vamshi Tilakji, his family and all kith and kin of Sri Narayana, its heartfelt condolences and expresses its solidarity with them in this hour of grief.
