One’s life should be meaningful, apart from being successful. Only then the knowledge that a human being acquires would hold some meaning and the Vidya Bharti has been doing this excellent job with great vigour, said Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

He made these observations on May 23, 2017, while laying the foundation stone of Rao Mehar Chand Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Bhalswa, Delhi, which is run by the Samarth Shiksha Samiti associated with the Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Siksha Sansthan.

Mohan Bhagwat Ji said the Vidya Bharti has taken up a welfare and benevolent work in its hand, through which it wants to build a generation of youth that is committed to Hindutva and is steeped into patriotism, that is capable to fight contemporary problems, and is committed to upliftment of deprived people by making them free of exploitation and injustice.

He said the purpose of education is not only to earn livelihood. Its purpose is to become capable for giving something back to the society in which we live. It is necessary to ignite these feelings to make education meaningful. He said, knowledge makes a human educated. It empowers children to maintain self esteem. Knowledge cannot be attained by just attending schools. It also requires sacrifice and devotion by guardians and the family.

Vidya Bharti is successfully trying to accomplish these jobs. In fact, Vidya Bharti is a family comprising guardians, teachers and students. Lakhs of Vidya Bharti volunteers have dedicated themselves to provide the type of education that is required to be given to students, said Dr. Bhagwat Ji.

Chairman of the National Book Trust, Baldev Bhai Sharma, National Office Bearer of Vidya Bharti Dr. Lal Bihari Goswami Ji, RSS Sanghchalak of Delhi prant Kulbhushan Ahuja Ji, members of the school management and teachers were present on this occasion.
