`Vaidehi ashram’ – a girls’ home, a project of the service organization Seva Bharathi, had it’s 26th anniversary celebration, and completion of 25 years Silver Jubilee on 28th April 2019 in the ashram premises at Saidabad, Hyderabad. Vaidehi Ashram the home for 150 girls who were either orphaned or destitute. The ashram takes care of the education of the children, empowering them to be self -sufficient and also take care of their marriage.
A huge gathering of friends and well-wishers attended the grand celebration in the evening. Women participated in large numbers in the silver jubilee function and it’s interesting that the distinguished guests on the stage were all women.
Chief guests at the event were Smt M. Balalatha IAS (Dy Director, Ministry of Defence & Hon Director, SB Academy), Smt Bhagavathi Mahesh Baldeva (Independent Director, NMDC), Kumari Naina Jaiswal (International Table-Tennis player & Motivational Speaker), Yoga Guru Dr. Aruna Devi (Aruna Yoga Training and Research Institute) and Dr.B. Parijatha Reddy (Founder Director Mahadyuthi Nruthyalayam).
Smt Bhagavathi in her address, spoke about the greatness of Ramayana and exhorted the girl students to take Seetha Devi as their ideal role-model. Kumari Naina Jaiswal gave a motivational talk which inspired the ashram girls.
