Thousands of Swayamsevaks paid emotional tributes to RSS senior pracharak Ramchandraji Sadashiv Haldekar ji at the final rites, held at Amberpet Smashaana Vaatika, Hyderabad. Sri Haldekar ji passed away yesterday at the age of 87.
A Sraddhanjali sabha was held at Keshav Nilayam, Barkatpura, at 10 AM. It was attended by RSS Sarkaryavah Sri Suresh Joshi (Bhayyaji), and Sah-Sarkaryavaha V. Bhagaiah ji and several senior functionaries of the Sangh and its inspired organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhayyaji said Haldekar ji worked in a very challenging environment and devoted himself completely as a ‘tapasya’ in building the Sangh work primarily in undivided Andhra Pradesh as a pracharak. Though Haldekar ji’s mother tongue was Marathi, he learned Telugu to integrate himself, and applied his language skills in translating Dr. Hedgewar’s life and Sangh literature.
Bhayyaji added that when Haldekar ji’s body did not cooperate for travelling to spread Sangh work, he used his pen to continue the same.
Union Minister M. Venkayya Naidu ji recalled his association with Haldekar ji and said that he maintained a very deep personal affection with every swayamsevak as well as with their families and used to interact them as a family well wisher. The life of Haldekar ji was inspiring and an ideal for all swayamsevaks.
Other dignitaries present in Sraddhanjali sabha were Sevika Samithi Pramukha Karyavahika Seethakka, Union Minister Smt Nirmala Sitaraman, Kshetra Pracharak Sri Shyam ji, BJP leader Sri Kishan Reddy and several others from various walks of life.
