Bhaiyyaji Joshi visits INA Memorial at Moirange, pays tributes to Netaji

Imphal, Nov 27: In commemoration of the 76th year of first Government of Independent India in Exile formed by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on October 21, 1943, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryawah Suresh alias Bhayyaji Joshi and Sah-Sarkaryawah Dr Krishna Gopal visited the INA Memorial here and paid respects and tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

During their recent three-day visit to Northeastern border state of Manipur, the RSS officials on Novemebr 23, 2019 visited the Indian National Memorial situated at Moirang near here and paid their tributes to Netaji SUbhash Chnadra Bose .

The Indian National Army (INA) or Azad Hind Fauz was set up by Netaji Bose in Singapore on October 21, 1943 when he made the announcement of forming the Government of Independent India in exile there. This was the first official announcement of India’s Independence made from the foreign soil.

The INA later with association of Japanese army liberated parts of northeast India including Moirang in Manipur. In memory of those brave hearts of INA a memorial is set up here. An exhibition of photographs and documents related to INA and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is also set up here.

Remembering the sacrifices made by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his contributions to national freedom struggle, Bhaiyyaji Joshi and Dr. Krishna Gopal, paid floral tributes to Netaji’s statue erected at INA Martyrs’ Memorial Complex, Moirang in Bishnupur district of Manipur on 23 November 2019.

During their three-day Manipur visit the RSS functionaries also met various stakeholders including the members of Manipur Thinkers’ Forum (MTF) and discussed with them about the issues of the state.
