RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji has said that in spite of diversities in languages, traditions and environment, Bharat is a land of unity because the Hindus are in a majority here and the Hindu thought absorbs all diversities and the RSS is engaged in building a nation-wide “sangh” of people with such thoughts.

Addressing the concluding function of the third year Sangh Shiksha Varg at the Reshimbagh ground in Nagpur Dr. Bhagwat Ji said Bharat does not just think about itself, but about the entire world. After our development, we dedicate ourselves to the development of the world, such has been the Bharatiya tradition, he said. We are the progenies of Lord Shiva, we partake of poison for the welfare of the world.

Sarsanghchalak Ji said there might be super powers around the world, but nobody else than Bharat can work for the world welfare with “Vasudhaiv Kutumb” as a vision. That is why we see when it comes to guard the national interests, one sees Brexit taking place, or severing ties with the Paris Environment conference. In this situation only Bharat can work for the world welfare and the world is looking up to us with high hopes.

Even today we have a Ram, a Krishna, a Buddha or a Sikh guru in all of us. All is going on well. But all those whose self-interests are being hit in this culture, they create disturbances. It will happen and to counter this we should keep marching ahead in a “sangh”.

Prior to setting up the RSS, Dr. KB Hedgewar was associated with the Congress. He wanted the Congress to announce complete ban on cow slaughter. At the 1920 Nagpur convention of the Congress he had moved two resolutions of which one was ban on cow slaughter.

Former Nepal Army chief  Rukmagad Katwal, who was the chief guest at the function, said the powers which ruled over Bharat always tried to demolish its culture, language and tradition. They plundered Bharat. The RSS is making an effort to regain the past glory. He referred to Sita Mata’s birthplace and Bhagwan Pashupatinath temple in Nepal to reassert how strong the cultural and religious ties have been between Bharat and Nepal.

In all 903 shikshaarthis attended the camp.
