In Narsapur of Medak district in Telangana, staff at a village level recruitment examination centre ( Little Flower School), forced women candidates to remove their mangalasutras to be allowed to write the test. The women tried to convince the staffs about their sentiment associated with the mangalsutras, but it fell on deaf ears.
Spouses of the women candidates staged a protest outside the exam center.
