Bhagyanagar turned into saffron for Veer Hanuman Shobha Yatra

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanthi, the Hyderabad wore the saffron look and it was celebrated in grandscale at several places. The main Veer Hanuman Shobha yatra organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrangdal, started from Gowligud Ram Mandir at 11: 45AM on 11 April, 2017 and ended at Hanuman Mandir at Tadbund by 7PM. It is estimated that nearly 6  lakh youth participated in this mega bike rally that covered the distance of 27 kms.

The Veer Hanuman Shobha yatra was flagged off by Jitendranath ji Maharaj of Srinatha Peetham in Maharastra, Dr. Bhagawanth Rao, secretary of Bhagyanagara Utsav samiti, M. Ramaraji, Telangana VHP president, Y. Bhanu Prakash, Bhajrangdal state convener and several dignitaries.

Thousands of volunteers along the rally path offered water/ drinks and food to participants. The government authorities like GHMC, water works department took all measures for hassle free journey. The police deployed nearly 14000 personal to ensure the peaceful proceedings.

The Shobha yatra started from Gowliguda passed through Afzalgunj, Andhra Bank Chowrasta, Koti, Narayanaguda, RTC X Roads,Mushirabad, Paradise and finally ending with at Thadband Veeranjaneya Swamy temple in Secunderabad. On this route the building, roads and poles were decked up with saffron flags and buntings zigzagged across the poles while as bhajans were being played on the entire path.
