The two-day meeting of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) deliberated on issues related to national security and dangers posed to it externally and internally and passed two resolutions.
The meeting also demanded to identify illegal migrants and deport them to their country of origin besides properly examining their identity proofs and other documents.
The FANS deplored the increasing interference of China in the internal affairs of the country and demanded that a campaign be launched against Chinese efforts to challenge sovereignty of India.
The meeting encouraged the initiatives to increase exchanges with Israel and sought support of Israel in Make in India drive. FANS Organising Secretary Golok Bihari Rai and Media Incharge Dr Virender Siwach said that the resolutions passed in the meeting would be sent to the Prime Minister and concerning departments of the Central and State governments.
The meeting was addressed by the Governor of Haryana Kaptan Singh Solanki, Indresh Kumar, senior Member of RSS National Executive and Patron of FANS, and other dignitaries. Indresh Kumar in his addressed said that Article 370 has become a hurdle in the development of Jammu and Kashmir. This Article has affected the business of tourism badly and time has come now to take aq bold decision regarding this controversial constitutional provision.
Deploring the efforts of India’s neighbour Pakistan to encourage and support the terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, Indresh Kumar suggested that development activities like road construction, education and employment opportunities so that the youth can be distracted from joining terrorist organisations and participate in such activities.
The FANS meeting also suggested to modernising the naval forces and their capabilities, in the north eastern states of India and to taking firm preventive steps to stop ethnic strife and violence.
The FANS proposed to observe three historical events as ‘Action Day’ and relive their memories for the countrymen. They events include December 30, 1943 when Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose unfurled the Indian Tricolour at Port Blair; September 23, in memory and honour of those 900 brave Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives to free Haifa, an Israeli township, and April 8, when Shaheed Bhagat Singh dropped the bomb in the Assembly Hall in Delhi deafening the British government with the chants of freedom struggle.
The meeting was inaugurated by the Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki. Haryana PWD Minister Rav Narbir Singh, Mahendragarh MP Dharmveer Singh, MLA Dr Abhay Singh, former Home Secretary and Ara MP R K Singh, FANS National Chairman R C Bajpayee were present.
Besides, National General Secretary of FANS Jasbir Singh, Sarla Singh, Adv Pravesh Khanna, Vice-President and Chhattisgarh Waqf Board President Salim Ashrafi, Reshma Singh, Anil Kaushik, Organising Secretary Golok Bihari Rai, office-bearers of FANS from states and others were present.
