The bloody political game in Kerala became worst when the goons of the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) allegedly attacked and brutally murdered RSS Karyavah Rajesh Edavakode (34) in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram in the evening on Saturday. BJP has alleged that CPM workers were behind the incident. Police have started investigating the case.
RSS worker Rajesh Edavakode was killed in Sreekaryam area of the state capital around 8.30 pm while he was returning from the local RSS office. According to the police, the six-member gang of attackers was led by a history-sheeter. The miscreants chopped off Rajesh’s left hand in the attack. There were over 20 wounds in his body. Rajesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
BJP Kerala BJP chief Kumanam Rajasekharan tweeted the first information of the attack on Rajesh at 10:44 PM on 29 July with a hashtag #JungleRajInKerala. Immediately after a few minutes on 10:56 PM, RSS Sah Prachar Pramukh J Nandkumar retweeted it saying – “Rajesh is no more”.
Nandkumar shared the image of Rajesh saying- “Basti Karyavah Rajesh brutally murdered by CPM blood thirsty goons in Trivandrum”. In another tweet, J Nandkumar says – “144 served as a camouflage for CPM violence. Red hounds roaming scot-free in search of next victim”.
All the six attackers of Rajesh are absconding.
Kumanam Rajasekharan alleged that the CPI-M was behind the attack. The BJP has called for a state-wide hartal on Sunday, the state BJP chief said. Rajasekharan went on to say that such violent acts had the tacit support of the state government. He also said that he would bring these attacks to the notice of the Centre.
Meanwhile, the CPM has denied its hand in the brutal murder of RSS worker. A press statement issued by the party said that it had no connection with the incident.
Incidentally, two days before, on 28 July, the CPM workers attacked the BJP state office in Thiruvananthapuram. Kumanam Rajasekharan had tweeted the CCTV footage video with visuals of how CPM goons vandalized BJP office in presence of Police, more than that trying to attack a police personnel.
Tagging BJP National President Amit Shah, Nandkumar says, “This is not just a political fight, Antinational CPM with the help of Islamic terrorists is waging a war against nation”.
The attacks on RSS swayamsevaks have substantially increased in Kerala in recent years in the CPM raj.
